Nate Boyer is an actor who was a football player (University of Texas and, briefly for the Seattle Seahawks) and a special forces soldier. He emerged in national news when his open letter to Colin Kaepernick in the Army Times got Kaep to respond and ask him to meet and discuss his protest and how he could still make a statement about race relations in America without dishonoring veterans. He continues to raise awareness and money for causes that are important to him, and discuss issues that are important to all of us.
